Dr. Ana is the owner and lead Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Inclusive Speech & Language Services. She is licensed in New York State, nationally credentialed from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and holds a Professional Teaching Certification in Speech and Language Disabilities.
Ana holds her Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) from Northwestern University and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Gallaudet University. At Gallaudet, Ana became proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) from being immersed in the Deaf Community everyday. She is a strong believer that ASL is an extremely valuable tool in the speech therapy clinic.
After graduating from Gallaudet, Ana returned home to Buffalo and began her career as an SLP. Before opening Inclusive, she has acquired a vast amount of experience working is a variety of different settings across Buffalo and D.C. as an SLP. These include private practices, early intervention clinics, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and a Deaf school (St. Mary's School for the Deaf). In these different settings Ana was able to practice, master, and perfect her skills to provide the absolute best speech therapy to her patients. The skills she has perfected range from newborns to palliative care patients who presented with various communication and swallowing disorders.
In addition to leading Inclusive, Ana serves as an Adjunct Professor at Buffalo State University in their Speech Pathology Program. Ana's interests include the Deaf and hard of hearing and linguistically/culturally-diverse populations, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and early intervention.
Ana resides in Clarence, New York with her husband and Cavapoo puppies; Oliver & Ivory. When not in the office, she enjoys traveling, biking, skiing, attending concerts, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills.
